Sofia Richie’s Father Terrified About Romance With Kourtney Kardashian’s Ex Scott Disick

Sofia Richie may be head over heels about her new romance with Scott Disick, but her famous father, Lionel Richie, isn’t thrilled about his daughter’s relationship with the 34-year-old father of three.

While doing press for the “American Idol” auditions, the “Endless Love” singer revealed that rather than being happy for the new couple, he was actually worried about his 19-year-old and her new relationship. “I’m scared to death, are you kidding me?” he told Us Weekly.

Richie revealed that he has had a hard time accepting Sofia and Disick’s romance. “Have I been in shock?! I’m the dad, come on,” he told the publication.

Lionel and Sofia Richie seem to have a close father-daughter bond. The teen tends to include her father in many of her Instagram posts and previously revealed that her father likes to keep close tabs on her.

“My dad tracks my phone once a day. Awkwardly enough I get a notification every time. I think it’s funny so I don’t tell him I know,” she tweeted in May.

However, the singer later denied that he tracks any of his kids in an interview with USA Today. “I keep trying to tell them. I don’t track. I don’t understand. Nicole [Richie] thought I had investigators following her around,” he revealed.

“I keep trying to tell my kids the same thing: ‘I own Chicago. I own Miami. I have been around the world. So when you go through the airport, I have friends. You cannot sneak into a club. I own that club.’ So they think they are sneaky. So I get a phone call, ‘’Hey, just want to let you know Sofia just walked in.’ I mean, did I call him? No. I’m not tracking,” he added.

Lately, Sofia has been quite the traveler, flying around the world with Disick. The two recently vacationed in Mexico, where they were very open about showing PDA. Sources close to the “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” star revealed that the two are enjoying one another’s company.

“Scott likes having her around,” an insider told People. “She isn’t a wild party animal.”

Despite her laid-back way, Disick’s ex-girlfriend, Kourtney Kardashian thinks that the star’s new relationship is questionable.

“Kourtney thinks this fling with Sofia is a little weird, but nothing shocks her anymore. Kourtney just wants Scott to be his old self. She shares three kids with him, so she’ll always want the best for him and will always make sure he’s happy,” a source told Us Weekly.

Meanwhile, the model already thinks of Disick as someone special in her life. “Sofia calls Scott her boyfriend,” the source told People.

“She thinks he is the best,” the insider continued.

Although Richie thinks highly of her new beau, Disick doesn’t seem to be ready to rush into a committed relationship with the model just yet. “Scott likes her, but still says it’s not serious.”

The source went on to reveal that Disick’s new love interest has yet to meet the three children he shares with Kardashian, sons Mason and Reign and daughter, Penelope.

Although Disick and Richie have yet to confirm the extent of their romance, it seems like they are enjoying their time together.
