'Squid Game' Season Two: Director-Creator Confirms A New Season
"Squid Game" will return for a second season. The Netflix series' creator and director, Hwang Dong-hyuk, confirmed the new season Monday night at a red-carpet celebration.
"Squid Game" has been Netflix's most popular series. The last episode of "Squid Game" caused many viewers to wonder if the story will continue.
“There’s been so much pressure, so much demand and so much love for a second season. So I almost feel like you leave us no choice! But I will say there will indeed be a second season," Hwang said in an interview with Associated Press.

Hwang did not provide specifics about the next season.
“I do think it’s too early to say when and how that’s going to happen. So I will promise you this… Gi-hun will be back and he’ll do something for the world,” said Hwang.
"Squid Game" is a nine-episode survival drama set in South Korea. The first season was released on Sept. 17 and reached over 111 million viewers.
