“Star Wars: Episode 9” may feature a brand new castle. Photos from the production of the film recently leaked online showing that a new set is being constructed at Pinewood Studios, and this is said to be a castle. A puppet of a massive alien turtle has also reportedly been built for the upcoming film.

Leaked pictures from the production set at Pinewood Studios posted on Making Star Wars show the construction of a new castle. Castles are not new to the franchise, and fans may remember the one Maz Kanata (Lupita Nyong’o) used to own. The new castle has been described as “Maz’s Castle meets Jules Verne.”

The construction is still in its early stages. Fans should get a clear picture of the design and architecture in a few weeks, and this should give an indication of who this building could belong to.

There are also some unconfirmed reports suggesting that an 8- to 10-foot large alien turtle with spikes on the shell has been built. This “impressive” puppet supposedly looks like it’s straight out of the “The Neverending Story.” The report assumed that this creature will be seen in the swampy location that is supposed to be featured in “Star Wars: Episode 9.”

As for the planets in the film, there is a desert one that will be featured. However, one source familiar with the developments of “Star Wars: Episode 9” has reportedly revealed that this is more like a rocky planet rather than a sandy desert planet.

According to a previous report by Making Star Wars, three distinct locations will be standing in for alien planets in the film. There’s the desert planet, the jungle planet and a swampy location.

The production crew is currently also busy working at Black Park. An X-Wing was previously spotted at this location, and now the crew is reportedly adding pre-fabricated, charred trees at this location, which means there will be some action sequence featured there.

While the filming continues, the fans are eagerly waiting for the first look at “Star Wars: Episode 9” or even just a title reveal. According to a report by IGN, the trailer may not be released until spring. However, a title reveal may happen soon.

Details about the “Star Wars: Episode 9” plot may be revealed when the first trailer is released online. As previously reported, the final film may be about the conflict between Rey (Daisy Ridley) and Kylo Ren (Adam Driver).
