'Star Wars: The Force Awakens': J.J. Abrams Answers Questions About Possible Jedi In The Movie
Director J.J. Abrams answered a few questions about “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” in a recent interview. Meanwhile, a new report suggests that more confirmation has come about a familiar character returning in the movie.
In a recent interview with MTV, Abrams revealed that although they have a cut of the movie ready, the running time keeps changing with each new edit. He said the time was anywhere between an hour and a half to four hours and joked that Peter Jackson, who directed the “Hobbit” trilogy, wanted the movie to be four hours.
Abrams confirmed in the interview that Midi-Chlorians are not mentioned in the movie. The concept of Midi-Chlorians was introduced in the prequel trilogy of the franchise, and they were shown to be in the blood of people. A higher count of them in the blood signified that the person is Force-sensitive.
The director, however, did not say whether the phrase “May the Force be with you” is uttered in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens.” The phrase is mostly used by the Jedi and it is still unclear whether Jedi Master Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill) has been trying to rebuild the Jedi order in the last 30 years in the storyline.
Hamill has so far not been seen in the trailers of the movies, and his character is perhaps the only known Jedi in the timeline of the movie. A new report by MakingStarWars suggests that a familiar character will be back in a flashback scene in the movie to give more details about Luke.
[Spoiler Alert!]
A Darth Vader action figure will reportedly be launched along with other action figures from the coming movie. The report sees this as a confirmation of a previous leak that says the character will be seen in the movie. The character had died towards the end of the original trilogy and the mangled remains of his helmet was seen in the trailer.
According to the report, Darth Vader will appear in a flashback scene in “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” when the young heroes are told about the history of Luke. The report goes on the speculate that Kylo Ren (Adam Driver) may eventually wear the Sith lord’s armor.
