‘Supergirl’ Season 2 Spoilers: Chyler Leigh And Floriana Lima Film Alex And Maggie Kissing Scene For Episode 17 [PHOTOS]
Sanvers fans can expect a kissing scene between Alex (Chyler Leigh) and Maggie (Floriana Lima) in Season 2, episode 17 of “Supergirl.”
Leigh and Lima were photographed filming a smooch-fest for the episode outside a downtown Vancouver condominium on Thursday night, Feb. 9. According to YVRShoots, Kevin Smith directed the sequence with the crew applauding at various points during filming. In between kissing in front of cameras, Leigh and Lima also posed for photos with a group of Sanvers fans who were on set during the day. Check out the set photos below:
Earlier today, Smith also took to Instagram to share a photo with Leigh and Lima. In the caption for the snapshot, Smith talked about the show’s GLAAD Media Awards nomination and praised Leigh and Lima as well as the show’s writers for telling a beautiful and honest love story about Alex and Maggie.
Details about episode 17’s plot are being kept under wraps, but the installment marks the debut appearances of Kevin Sorbo and Teri Hatcher’s villainous characters. Sorbo and Hatcher’s roles have yet to be announced, but the “Hercules” actor recently revealed to Entertainment Tonight that he and Hatcher are playing husband and wife. Sorbo also added that their characters are “from another planet that is an arch-rival planet of Krypton.”
“Supergirl” hasn’t completely tackled Mon-El’s (Chris Wood) backstory, so it’s likely that Sorbo and Hatcher’s characters are from Mon-El’s home planet Daxam. And since “Supergirl” is basically a family drama masquerading as an action-adventure series, it won’t be surprising if Sorbo and Hatcher’s characters turn out to be Mon-El’s parents. If the fan theory proposing that Mon-El is the Prince of Daxam happens to be true, then that would make Sorbo and Hatcher’s roles the King and Queen of Daxam.
The air date for “Supergirl” episode 17 has yet to be revealed, but an all-new episode (Season 2, episode 12) airs on Monday, Feb. 13 at 8 p.m. EST on The CW.
