'Supernatural' Season 15: Characters Returning For Final 7 Episodes Revealed
KEY POINTS
- "Supernatural" Season 15 will be the show's final run
- There are only seven more episodes left
- Remaining episodes will air Thursdays on The CW in the fall
A number of familiar faces are expected to return before “Supernatural” Season 15, which will be the CW series' last, wraps up.
According to TV Insider, Sam (Jared Padalecki) and Dean's (Jensen Ackles) half-brother, Adam (Jake Abel), will be making an appearance in the final few episodes. While there isn't much information on what happens to Adam, who is also the vessel for archangel Michael, one can expect a confrontation between the archangel and God before the long-running show ends.
Adam was last seen in “Supernatural” Season 15, episode 8, titled “Our Father, Who Aren't in Heaven,” where Sam and Dean apologized for abandoning him in hell.
Another character that’s putting in an appearance is Felicia Day’s Charlie. Once again, details regarding Charlie’s return are sparse, but teaser photos released by Entertainment Weekly of the final episodes have confirmed her comeback.
Emily Swallow’s Amara will also return. Photos show her meeting Sam and Dean, and it’s likely that she will be butting heads with the Winchester brothers. In a previous episode, Sam and Dean were considering killing her along with her brother, God.
Amara was last seen in Season 15, episode 2, with God seeking her help, and Amara rejecting her sibling’s request.
Following her appearance, Swallow dropped a hint in a Digital Spy interview that the character will be returning as her storyline doesn't feel complete yet. "It does feel that way, that's all I'll say," she teased. "It feels like we need to see her again."
The show has been on hiatus amid the coronavirus pandemic. Filming has been completed through episode 18, and there is reportedly still post-production work to be done. The final two episodes have not yet been shot, and CW's CEO Mark Pedowitz said filming is expected to resume in late summer or early fall.
As for how the show will conclude, Ackles previously said that the ending is "certainly going to feel right and it's going to feel good."
"It should put a lot of people in a position of feeling great about the journey they took with us and the Winchester brothers,” he said during the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour last year. “That's certainly how I feel about it, and we're really excited to tell that story."
The remaining episodes of "Supernatural" Season 15 will air Thursdays in the fall.
