The new Hallmark movies continue to arrive on the network ahead of the Summer Nights event, with the newest film, “Sweet Carolina,” starring Lacey Chabert and Tyler Hynes, sure to tug at fans heartstrings.

The film will be a treat for fans because it will be the second time they see the stars together, after they both previously starred in the film “Winter In Vail.” In addition, both are staples for Hallmark who fans have grown to love. Chabert is one of the banner stars for the network, with recent titles including “The Christmas Waltz,” “Christmas In Rome,” “Love, Romance And Chocolate,” “Pride, Prejudice and Mistletoe,” “All Of My Heart: The Wedding,” “Love On Safari,” “My Secret Valentine,” “All I Want For Christmas Is You,” “The Sweetest Christmas,” “All Of My Heart: Inn Love,” “Moonlight In Vermont,” and “A Wish For Christmas.”

As for Hynes, he has also been a staple for the network. His titles have included “It Was Always You,” “On The 12th Date Of Christmas,” “The Mistletoe Secret,” “Flip That Romance,” “It’s Christmas, Eve,” and “Falling For You.”

So what will happen in the newest film?

“Upon learning her beloved sister (Christine Chatelain) and brother-in-law (Jason Tremblay), were killed in an accident, Josie (Chabert), a New York City marketing executive, rushes to her small hometown of New Hope, North Carolina to be with her family, who are each reacting differently to this loss,” the synopsis reads. “In the midst of grieving, it is revealed that Josie has been named the guardian of her sister’s children, Delilah (Cassidy Nugent) and Ben (Glen Gordon), which affects the family dynamic.”

Quickly, the news shocks the family, and Josie’s parents, (Gregory Harrison and Teryl Rothery) reveal they think the children should stay with them, since Josie has to go back to New York, and she isn’t sure she wants to become an instant mom. However, as she continues reconnecting with her past, she may find herself wondering if taking care of the kids is actually the right call.

“Josie can’t help but reflect on her past, especially when she runs into her high school ex-boyfriend, Cooper (Hynes), who is also the kids’ basketball coach,” the synopsis reads. “As Josie and her family adjust to a new normal, with Cooper’s help, they learn that the best families don’t always get it right, but if they lean on each other, their hearts will learn to laugh and love again.”

“Sweet Carolina” premieres Saturday, May 15 at 9 p.m. EDT on Hallmark Channel.
