‘Switched At Birth’ Season 5 Spoilers: Episode 9 Synopsis, Promo Video, Photos Released
Following a wild night of partying which resulted in Travis getting into a fight, he will have to face a problem that his fists can’t fix on “Switched at Birth” Season 5, episode 9.
“Travis (Ryan Lane) and Bay (Vanessa Marano) have dinner with his birth mom, but the reunion dredges up painful memories of his childhood assault,” the synopsis for “The Wolf is Waiting” teases.
In the promo video for the Freeform series, Travis can be seen breaking a lamp, possibly out of anger. However, it is unclear what upset him. Later on, Bay tells Travis that he has to “face this,” and the promo then cuts to Travis looking as if he is crying as Bay speaks with his mother.

When the characters were still in high school, Travis began living with Melody (Marlee Matlin) and Emmett (Sean Berdy) because his mother didn’t treat him appropriately and wouldn’t learn American Sign Language in order to communicate with him.
Since becoming a part of Melody’s family, it seemed as if his mother was out of his life, but from the looks of the promo, it is clear she wants back into her son’s life, but why?
“Elsewhere, Daphne (Katie Leclerc) contemplates helping Chris (Sam Adegoke) cheat on a test,” the synopsis for “Switched at Birth” Season 5, episode 9 says. In “The Wolf is Waiting” promo, Chris can be seen telling Daphne that he needs her help. Daphne then expresses her concern to Bay, asking her if she is crazy for considering helping Chris out.
Last viewers saw, Daphne discovered Chris was using steroids and told Kathryn (Lea Thompson) that one of the members of the baseball team was using steroids. Kathryn then ordered a drug test for the team and Chris told Daphne his life is over now that he has to take the test.
Although she did put Chris at risk for having his steroid use exposed, Daphne still seems to care for him. The two shared a kiss prior to Daphne confronting him about his use of the drugs. Will Daphne help Chris pass his drug test or force him to face the consequences of his behavior?
“Regina (Constance Marie) gets paid an unexpected visit,” the synopsis states. In the promo, Regina can be seen yelling she has a gun as a shadow is seen exiting the Cracked Mug. Who could be visiting Regina?
In a sneak peek of “The Wolf is Waiting,” Regina asks Toby (Lucas Grabeel) to install security cameras at the cafe. The unexpected visitor might be the reason behind her sudden request.
“Switched at Birth” Season 5, episode 9 airs Tuesday at 9:01 p.m. EDT on Freeform.
