‘SYTYCD’ Season 14 Spoilers: Jensen Arnold Is Eliminated; All-Stars Split The Duos
“So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 aired its second Academy round on Monday night which featured the shocking elimination of some early favorites.
In episode 6, Jensen Arnold made it past the ballroom round that was taught by Dmitry & Jenya. The sister of “Dancing With the Stars” pro Lindsay Arnold also made it to Robert Roldan’s team, but was eliminated after she didn’t fare well in the group rounds on day three.
Arnold wasn’t the only one who was eliminated on Monday night’s episode. Hip-hop duo Klassic and Havoc were forced to showcase their talents as individuals in the most recent installment of the hit FOX TV series. Klassic did not make the cut, but Havoc was given a second chance by the all-stars despite his unimpressive performance in the contemporary round. In the end, Havoc nabbed a spot in Cyrus Spencer’s team.
Ballroom dancers Vasily and Kristina, who are a couple in real life, were also split up in “So You Think You Can Dance.” Paul Karmiryan gave them a chance by taking them into his team, but it appeared as though Vasily didn’t impress the all-stars during their next performance. He was eliminated, but Kristina made it to the next round of the competition.
Meanwhile, one of the most standout performances from this week’s episode came from Alison Holker’s four-member team. Holker, who used to be a pro dancer in “Dancing With the Stars,” was the first one to complete her team. Unfortunately, despite the group’s emotional routine to Harry Styles’ “Sign of the Times,” Holker still had to let go of one of her members. The mom-of-two eliminated Kevin Davis Jr. from her roster, but Jenna Johnson decided to take him into her team.
But Johnson’s decision to work with Davis only meant that she had to let go of two of her original team members. The ballroom dancer said goodbye to Alexis Gilbert and JJ towards the end of the episode.
“So You Think You Can Dance” Season 14 airs Mondays at 8 p.m. EDT on FOX.
