Is ‘Teen Mom 2’ Scripted? Jeremy Calvert And Corey Simms Badmouth Leah Messer For MTV Fakery: Report
“Teen Mom 2” stars Jeremy Calvert and Corey Simms were pictured together drinking beers, but it might have just been a scheme concocted by MTV. Both men used to be married to Leah Messer, who claimed that the get-together was scripted by producers of the popular reality show.
Messer, 23, went on a Twitter rant after of photo of her exes went viral. It seems her fakery assertions were correct. “When Corey and Jeremy went out to get a drink talking about Leah, the show set it up,” a source told Radar Online on Monday. “It was all their doing.”
The West Virginia native went to rehab over the summer to treat anxiety and stress, but Simms, who now has custody of their 5-year-old twins, claimed she was addicted to prescription pain pills.
MTV producers coached Calvert to talk about Messer’s apparent drug use, a source said. Then they “will flip the stories around” in the editing room.
Messer tweeted the show was scripted in September. “#scripted Jerm knew !! lol [sic]” she said about her exes talking during Season 6, episode 11.
Calvert and Simms, both 26, talked about their children and how their mother’s reported drug use affected them. “It sucks for the kids' sake,” Simms said. “She went from being normal to being a complete 180,” Calvert said. “Prescription pill problem,” he added.
“This drug issue that everybody knows she has is swept under that carpet and don’t want nobody knowing where she went,” Simms said. “We’re the father of her children. We need to know what’s going on with the mother of our children. Why are you sweeping it under the rug acting like it’s no big deal?”
There will reportedly be a Season 7 of “Teen Mom 2,” but it’s unknown if Messer will return. Simms is purportedly done with the show and Calvert is undecided, the Ashley’s Reality Roundup reported in September.
