‘Teen Wolf’ Season 5 Spoilers: Episode 6 Synopsis Released; What Will Happen In ‘Required Reading’? [VIDEO]
“Teen Wolf” Season 5, episode 6 will go inside the pack’s heads. Scott’s (Tyler Posey) friends are desperate to learn more about the Dread Doctors. In episode 5 of the MTV drama, Dr. Valack (Steven Brand) told them that reading his book would bring any memories of the Dread Doctors to the front of their mind. According to the synopsis for episode 6, aptly titled “Required Reading,” the gang will delve into the book and it'll cause some weird things to happen.
“Scott and his friends follow Dr. Valack's advice; and experience strange effects as a result,” the synopsis teases. So what are those “strange effects”? It seems like they might involve flashbacks.
As previously reported, Stiles (Dylan O’Brien) will see his mother in this episode. Claudia Stilinski died when Stiles was very young, so Dr. Valack’s book might bring up painful memories. In the promo below, it looks like Stiles might see her in the hospital.
Elsewhere in the trailer, Lydia (Holland Roden) seems to remember seeing the Dread Doctors appearing in her surgery during episode 4. “If they did something to me, I want to know what it is,” she says.
Meanwhile, Scott will be more distracted by the present day. Kira (Arden Cho) will continue to distance herself from her boyfriend, and Scott questions if he can even trust her. Executive producer Jeff Davis revealed that last week’s moment where Scott confirmed that he loved the kitsune will be the last sweet moment they have for a while. “The rise in her power and her lack of control begins to push them apart,” Davis told the Hollywood Reporter.
