Basketball star Iman Shumpert gave his singer girlfriend Teyana Taylor the surprise of a lifetime during her baby shower on Sunday. The couple announced in September that they were expecting a child together. Now it seems they're preparing for yet another major milestone in their relationship: marriage.

According to E! Online Shumpert, 25, made a guest appearance at his girlfriend's baby shower, which was held at the Museum of Contemporary Art in Cleveland. He shocked guests and Taylor, 24, as he got down on one knee and asked for her hand in marriage. As exciting as that was, it's her ring that the Internet is really buzzing about. Not long after their engagement the Harlem, New York, native took to Instagram to show off her unique new bling to followers. The band of Taylor's ring is gold with several tiny diamonds intertwining. In the middle sits a massive ruby.

In September, Taylor and Shumpert took to social media to announce the pregnancy, according to TMZ. In an Instagram post the Cleveland Cavaliers shooting guard wrote that he "couldn't be more happy" to welcome his first child with the woman he had been dreaming of starting a family with. Taylor reposted the photo writing, "& that's all that matters...I love you baby" in the caption.

The "Google Me" rapper and NBA baller have been dating since 2014. It has not yet been announced when they will be tying the knot. Their first child, Iman Tayla Shumpert Jr., is due Jan. 16, 2016.
