‘Thor: Ragnarok’ Spoilers: Mark Ruffalo Talks About Hulk’s Battle With ‘Puny’ Thor
If there’s one thing the “Thor: Ragnarok” trailer revealed, it’s that Thor (Chris Hemsworth) and the Hulk (Mark Ruffalo) will face each other in an epic battle in the intergalactic gladiator arena.
Thor appeared to be thrilled to see his fellow Avenger and even declared that they are friends. But the Hulk gave no sign that he knew Thor, and only looked fierce and ready for battle. Will the Hulk really throw their friendship aside and beat Thor to a pulp?

As far as Ruffalo is concerned, the Hulk definitely will. “It’s fun. It’s fun smashing him,” he told Good Morning America. “He’s just a puny god.”
In fact, Thor should be really, really scared because of his opponent. “He’s even more angry than he was the last time we saw him,” Ruffalo revealed. “For a much longer period of time.”
However, the Hulk will be tamed as the movie progresses because he is going to be teaming up with Thor in defeating Hela (Cate Blanchett), who is the most formidable villain yet in the “Thor” trilogy. “It’s an intergalactic buddy road movie with Banner and Thor,” Ruffalo told Entertainment Weekly of their partnership.
As for Hela, Ruffalo hinted that the Hulk alone would not be able to beat her. “She plays the worst of the worst,” Ruffalo said. “So evil. She is going to kill us. It’s such a great part she gets to play.”
Meanwhile, Thor and Hulk will also be getting some help from Thor’s half-brother Loki (Tom Hiddleston), who is always hellbent on causing mischief. But due to Hela’s power, Loki will be forced to team up with the Avengers in order to survive the destruction she will bring at her wake. “It’s the kind of destruction that both Thor and Loki have never seen, on a scale of terror they’ve never ever seen before. So, they fall back on their brotherhood fractured though it is to see what they can do to stop her,” Hiddleston told IGN.
“Thor: Ragnarok,” which is directed by Taika Waititi, will be released on Nov. 3.
