Tia Mowry Announces Split With Cory Hardrict, Ends 14 Years Of Marriage

Tia Mowry filed for divorce to end her 14 years of marriage with her husband, actor Cory Hardrict. The actress shared that they are going to maintain their friendship in order to co-parent their children.

The 44-year-old actress shared a black and white photo of her and Hardrict together Tuesday on Instagram. In the caption, she wrote how she has always been "honest" with her fans and "today is no different."

Mowry further wrote how she and Hardrict have decided to go their separate ways. "These decisions are never easy, and not without sadness," she added. "We will maintain a friendship as we co-parent our beautiful children."

The actress shares two kids, 11-year-old son Cree and 4-year-old daughter Cairo with Hardrict.

"I am grateful for all the happy times we had together and want to thank my friends, family and fans for your love and support as we start this new chapter moving forward in our lives," she continued.

Brother of Mowry, Tavior Dontae commented on the post, "I love you! And I support you ALWAYS," while model Tara Stiles wrote, "Love you @tiamowry sending lots of love."

Writer Lalah Delia wrote, "Love yourself through it, sister. I love you and am here as always holding you up in the highest ✨💛🤲🏽 You got this 🥷✔️✨ Praying for you, through and beyond this transition and transformation."

Mowry filed for divorce Tuesday in Los Angeles, citing irreconcilable differences as per the court documents obtained by TMZ. The actress requested the judge to give her joint physical and legal custody of their children.

Mowry and Hardrict exchanged vows in 2008 after they met at Los Angeles' Pepperdine University. The actress revealed in September 2013 that they were just friends for a year before they started dating in college.

"I lost my virginity at 25," Mowry told Ebony at that time. "So we even waited for a while to even get intimate. This works for some people and it doesn't work for some people and it's OK."

On the work front, Mowry has been a regular on the TV series, "Family Reunion" since 2019. Hardrict, on the other hand, will be seen in the movies "The Dougherty Gang," "Die Like A Man" and "Young. Wild. Free."
