Tina Fey and Amy Poehler: Official Hosts Of The Next Two Golden Globe Awards
The reigning queens of comedy will be back for the next two Golden Globes! With the standout success of last year's awards show, which brought in 20 million viewers last January, hosts Tina Fey and Amy Poehler have been invited back for the 2014 and 2015 events.
The dynamic duo were arguably the best hosts the Globes have ever had. Between their hilarious jokes and not-so-subtle commentary on the celebs in attendance, the two made for a hugely entertaining show, prompting the Hollywood Foreign Press to lock in the SNL veterans to host the next two years' Golden Globe awards.
According to Us Weekly, early Oct. 15 the Hollywood Foreign Press tweeted: "Tina Fey and Amy Poehler to return as hosts of the 71st Annual Golden Globe Awards, and the 72nd in 2015. #Television #actor." The two-year contract locks in the funny ladies for hosting duties in 2014 and 2015, something which has fans very excited. If you missed their previous hosting gig, here are some of the best moments that certainly got them hired yet again:
