‘True Blood’ Season 7 Spoilers: Is Eric Alive? New Character To Appear In Episode 2
“True Blood” ended season 6 with a major jaw dropper – Eric Northman’s naked body. But the glorious moment was ruined when Warlow’s blood stopped working, immediately resulting in Eric bursting into flames.
Naked and alone on top of a mountain in Sweden, Eric’s fate appeared grim. But as we previously reported, “True Blood” showrunner Brian Buckner has no plans on killing the fan favorite character off the HBO series.
“I can tell you that Alexander Skarsgard is going to be a part of the next season of ‘True Blood,’” Buckner told TVline. “He will be a series regular … I’m not going to take Alex Skarsgard out of people’s living rooms.”
So, what’s in store for everyone’s favorite blonde fanger? According to E! Online, Eric is going to have a love interest in season 7 … and it’s not going to be half-faerie Sookie!
The site reports that Eric’s lady love is named Sylvie and is “drop-dead gorgeous and can speak fluent French.” But that’s not all we know about Sylvie. A casting call that went out on Nov. 19 and was reposted on Friday states that “True Blood” producers are looking for a woman in her 20s that must be comfortable with full frontal nudity (excluding genitalia).
It’s currently unknown if she’s supernatural or just a lucky human being, but viewers will get their first look at her in season 7 episode 2.
The seventh season will also be the final one for “True Blood.” Set to air during summer 2014, the farewell season will have only 10 episodes. While the drama usually plays out over a two-week time span, Buckner previously revealed that they may speed up the time span in order to wrap up the story of Sookie, Bill, Eric, Pam and the gang.
