Did Victoria Beckham get flirty with actor Matthew McConaughey when they were backstage at “Good Morning America”? This is what a news outlet claimed recently. The report even suggested that the fashion designer was going through marital problems when the flirting happened.

According to celebrity tabloid magazine Star, David Beckham’s wife made some advances to the “Serenity” actor when they both appeared on the ABC talk show. The outlet claimed that while Victoria’s attraction toward McConaughey wasn’t caught on cam, things were very different backstage.

An unnamed source reportedly revealed that the former Spice Girls member swooned over McConaughey behind the camera. The source even said that the actor also showed signs that he liked the fashion mogul as well.

“Victoria was like a giggly school girl,” the source was quoted as saying. “He was very receptive to her flirting too. There’s no doubt Matthew was enjoying her advances — she showered him with attention.”

The same source told the tabloid that Beckham’s gesture was actually her revenge against her husband who has reportedly been spending some time hanging out with other women at certain events.

Gossip Cop has since come out to debunk the rumor and the claims made by Star’s supposed source. According to the fact-checking website, no flirting happened between Beckham and McConaughey backstage.

A reliable source close to McConaughey even slammed the flirting rumor and called it “nonsense.” The same source pointed out that the tabloid actually left out the fact that the actor’s wife, Camila Alves, was with him backstage during his “GMA” guesting.

Another important thing that Star failed to include in its report was Victoria’s romantic gesture for David while she was being interviewed. The former singer called her husband of almost two decades her “soulmate” and she even lauded the retired professional footballer for being a “great husband” and a “fantastic dad” to their kids.

The news comes a month after Gossip Cop also debunked a report linking actress Angelina Jolie to the Beckhams. Apparently, a tabloid story has claimed that Brad Pitt’s ex-wife has been trying to get in between David and Victoria. However, it was later found out that there was no truth in such a story.

Late last year, New Idea magazine claimed that David and Victoria were having marriage problems. The outlet stated that the issue started because the mom of four wasn’t happy when she found out that her husband had spent a night out with supermodel Helena Christensen.
