Twitter Reacts To Amber Heard Body-Shaming Johnny Depp: Actor ‘Beautiful,’ ‘Looks Younger’ After Split

Twitter has reacted to the issue of Amber Heard body-shaming her ex-husband Johnny Depp.

The “Pirates of the Caribbean” star’s employee, Tara Roberts, witnessed how Heard verbally and physically attacked Depp in December 2015 in his private island in the Bahamas. Roberts admitted in a deposition that Depp never hit his ex-wife despite the insults he received. At one point, Heard even body-shamed the actor by calling him “fat.”

A copy of Robert’s deposition has been shared on Twitter and it sparked mixed reactions. Many said that Depp looked beautiful for a man his age and many slammed the actress for her looks.

“After all these years, Johnny Depp looks great for his age. All the stress she put him through is probably what made him pack on a few, but he still looks amazing,” @SavonaAna commented.

“Johnny Depp is beautiful af and doesn’t need a diet but alright sis,” @CaptainJanee wrote.

“There’s nothing wrong with the way Johnny looks he's still as handsome as he was when he was 20yrs old but that's the thing he's not 20 anymore and as we age our body changes and to shame him for that is absolutely disgusting and she should get up boot up the arse!” @LilYahzi added.

Meanwhile, another netizen questioned if there was a time when Depp was fat because for her, he has always been fit. The online user said that she had “no complaints” about Depp’s appearance and stressed that Depp’s weight doesn’t matter, but if Heard really made the statement, she should be ashamed because “body shaming is not ok.”

Some netizens speculated that if Depp got fat it would be Heard’s fault and what she fed him. They also noticed that Depp looked happier and younger after they separated.

"If anything she probably drove him to what ever made him put weight on or ‘look a mess’ Stress eating or the Xanax she fed him to keep him compliant,” @RebeccaPitman8 opined.

“That would explain that nowadays he looks like 10 years younger than in some photos of them together,” @Slayerblon added.

Meanwhile, a different online user said if it was true love, one’s appearance would not matter because everyone is going to get old and will not look the same when they were younger. For the exes’ case, Heidi Nelson Betancourt concluded that Heard never really loved Depp.

In related news, Depp said in the court document that Heard has a history of domestic abuse. However, the “Aquaman” actress was not the victim but the perpetrator. Depp was referring to the incident when Heard assaulted her ex-girlfriend Tasya van Ree that led to her arrest.
