The charity event, called ‘Together With Ukraine,” included performances by Polish and Ukrainian artists and raised more than $380,000, according to CBS News.
Russia’s invasion of Ukraine has forced around 10 million civilians to leave their homes behind, the United Nations said Sunday. It was also reported that 3.5 million civilians are now refugees in other countries.
Amellia is one of more than 2 million Ukrainian refugees that have escaped to Poland. Her moving rendition of "Let it go" from the Disney hit film, "Frozen," went viral as she was surrounded by fellow citizens huddled together in a Kyiv bomb shelter.
The video caught the attention of Frozen star, Idina Menzel, whose voice gave life to the character of Queen Elsa in the film.

My husband and I wrote this song as part of a story about healing a family in pain. The way you sing it is like a magic trick that spreads the light in your heart and heals everyone who hears it. Keep singing! We are listening! https://t.co/j8CnDSNJw8
Marta Smekhova, who originally posted the video on social media, said Amellia was a “friendly” and “talkative” girl who said she dreamed of singing for a big audience, according to BBC. Smekhova encouraged Amellia to give it a shot, and soon, the girl's heartwarming rendition went viral.
Amellia gave an interview with BBC after she safely reached Poland and said she regularly practices singing. The little girl also thanked those who enjoyed her video from the bomb shelter and said it has always been her dream to sing.
