‘UnREAL’ Season 2 Spoilers: Adam’s Return Set To Cause Major Problems For Rachel
Adam wants closure — or maybe the “Everlasting” suitor from Season 1 of “UnREAL” wants revenge. Either way, the blond Brit will stir up trouble when he slithers his way into the Season 2 storyline of the hit Lifetime drama.
Although Adam (Freddie Stroma) has yet to show his face in the sophomore installment, he did call Rachel (Shiri Appleby) in the Season 2 premiere of the sizzling summer series. “She’s really trying to move on, do her job and get her life together,” Appleby said to TVLine, explaining why her character ignored the incoming call from her former flame. “If she goes back there, it would be too many emotions for her.”
In the Season 1 finale of “UnREAL,” Adam ended his relationship with the reality TV producer after their decision to run away together. Quinn (Constance Zimmer) played a pivotal part in their breakup when she found a jaw-dropping video of her suitor and employee having sex. With the scandalous tape in her clutches, Quinn convinced Rachel to continue on their “Everlasting” journey together and swayed Adam into going through with his on-camera wedding to Anna (Johanna Braddy).
But Rachel got her revenge on Adam for leaving her high and dry when she persuaded the bride-to-be to dump the cheater on live TV. So, could Adam be seeking vengeance in Season 2 for Rachel humiliating him in front of thousands? Despite Adam’s intentions being unclear, Appleby promised that the European bad boy will “definitely throw a wrench into things.”
During an interview with E! Online, Executive Producer Sarah Gertrude promised that Adam’s return would tie up a few loose ends from the Season 1 finale. “[Their relationship was] obviously left on a pretty unresolved note for Rachel,” she said, teasing that the two need closure.
