Val Chmerkovskiy Celebrates Zendaya’s High School Graduation; See The Photo Of The Former 'DWTS' Partners

Now this is news worth dancing about! The Disney Channel actress Zendaya officially graduated from high school over the weekend -- well, sort of.

“Thank you for our little pre-graduation party,” the 18-year-old actress wrote on her WhoSay account next to a picture of herself dressed in her ceremonial cap and gown. “Still gotta take a few finals #positivethinking.” And we're sure the “K.C. Undercover” star will ace her exams -- especially because she had family and friends cheering her on on during the celebratory event.

Among the notable friends was Val Chmerkovskiy, with whom she earned second place in Season 16 of “Dancing With the Stars.” The dance pro was sitting in the crowd to watch his pal walk across the stage and receive her diploma.

“From the Met straight to graduating high school. Proud of my lil zendayachka. #driven #fam @zendaya,” the 29-year-old performer, who was thrown a surprise birthday party by Zendaya in March, captioned the adorable photo of the two making silly faces.

Just a few weeks ago, Zendaya rocked a couture frock at the 2015 Met Gala in New York on May 4, marking her first time at the exclusive annual bash, this year themed “China: Through the Looking Glass.” The actress donned a custom Fausto Puglisi gown accessorized with matching crown, armband and cuffs.

“I’m sorry if I post too many pics,” the excited actress wrote on Instagram. “This was just such a moment for me and I am so thankful for this opportunity that not many people get, especially not at 18. I am so honored and grateful.” The stunning red carpet sweetheart went on to thank all those who made her “feel like a princess” during the star-studded New York charity event.
