‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 6: Nina Dobrev’s Advice For Elena Gilbert
Vampires, werewolves, doppelgangers and Travelers … oh my! “The Vampire Diaries” has introduced a slew of big bad villains in its five years on TV. Things have always looked grim, but despite the odds, the Mystic Falls crew always managed to pull out ahead. Unfortunately the same couldn’t be said at the end of Season 5.
“Vampire Diaries” star Nina Dobrev recently spoke to Buzzfeed and revealed she has some advice to give to her character, Elena Gilbert.
“Run,” Dobrev told Buzzfeed of what she’d like to tell Elena. “Like the wind. Get the [expletive] out of that town.”
Fans of the hit CW series will remember Markos and his band of Travelers used Stefan and Elena’s doppelganger blood to take over Mystic Falls and turn it into a magic-free zone. Elena and Damon were able to stop Markos from going any further with the magic when they crashed into the Mystic Grill and made the building explode. Despite this victory, Season 5 ended on a pretty bad note. While Liv’s spell managed to pull Alaric and Enzo from the Other Side, Luke stopped the magic before Damon could cross over. With the Other Side crumbling, Damon wasn’t alone though. The rest of the group learned Bonnie had been hiding a disturbing fact from them -- when the Other Side went down, she’d go with it.
Elena, Stefan, Caroline and the others were forced not only to say goodbye to Damon and Bonnie, but to Mystic Falls itself when they discovered Markos’ Travelers magic did not die with him.
Dobrev’s advice for Elena is pretty wise -- especially since the upcoming sixth season will focus on the battle between “good and evil within themselves, and their journey back to each other to reclaim their home.”
Season 6 of “The Vampire Diaries” will premiere on The CW on Thursday, October 2, at 8 p.m. ET. Do you think Elena, Stefan and the others will be able to call Mystic Falls home again? Or do you think the supernatural town is gone for good? Tweet your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop.
