‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 6 Spoilers: Episode 9 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘I Alone’? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
Things are continuing to take a dark turn in Season 6 of “The Vampire Diaries.” While fans may have seen some rays of light throughout episode 8, the Dec. 4 installment of the CW series is gearing up to continue breaking hearts.
According to the synopsis for episode 9, titled “I Alone,” Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will continue to do whatever it takes to help get Bonnie (Kat Graham) back -- even if it means betraying friends. Unfortunately his plan isn’t fool proof. He’ll end up “in hot water” after a compelled Alaric (Matt Davis) goes through with his orders to get the magical tool that’s in Jo’s (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe) possession.
Although Damon’s actions are questionable, his intentions are pure. But elsewhere someone is not as excited about getting Bonnie back. Elena (Nina Dobrev) will visit with Jeremy (Steven R. McQueen) to share the good news in person. However, Elena gets “caught off guard by his reaction.” Is Jeremy still upset with Bonnie for her goodbye phone call? Or is he perhaps happily moving on with the mysterious Salvatore relative, Sarah (Gabrielle Walsh)?
Whatever Jeremy’s deal with Bonnie is, that won’t stop Elena from helping Damon get her back. The pair will turn to Liv (Penelope Mitchell) for help, but things will “take an unexpected turn” for the witch. The episode description teases Liv will be “left with a difficult choice to make.” Could it have something to do with the Gemini Coven’s plans for Luke (Chris Brochu) or Liv to absorb each other? “Vampire Diaries” viewers can’t forget that Jo, Luke and Liv’s father disappeared into thin air in episode 8 … and may be on his way to Whitmore College.
Meanwhile, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will “cross the line” with some of his actions. It’ll be up to Matt (Zach Roerig) to step up to the plate and “take matters into his own hands.” With anti-vampire leader Tripp (Colin Ferguson) gone -- will Matt be the one to make sure that Mystic Falls remains a safe area for those that are not supernatural? Although Enzo might be a friend to Damon and Caroline, Matt has made his feelings for the dangerous vampire very clear.
Finally, Kai’s (Chris Wood) storyline will continue to develop. Last time “Vampire Diaries” fans saw him he had had stabbed Bonnie in Oregon and left with some of her blood to start the spell. Bonnie needed to get back to Mystic Falls to stop him, but she was injured and stuck without any form of transportation. It’s not clear if Bonnie will be able to stop Kai, but the synopsis teases that he’ll remain a “dangerous threat.”
“The Vampire Diaries” Season 6, episode 9 will air on The CW on Thursday, Dec. 4, at 8 p.m. EST. What do you think will happen? Tweet your thoughts to @AmandaTVScoop.
