'Vampire Diaries' Season 6 Spoilers: Watch Damon Try To Get Stefan And Caroline Together In A Sneak Peek Video For Episode 8, 'Fade Into You'

“The Vampire Diaries” Season 6 is going to carry the Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) drama through the holidays. Season 6, episode 8, titled “Fade Into You,” will feature the gang celebrating Thanksgiving, but Stefan wasn’t invited to their Friendsgiving dinner. In a sneak peek video, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) and Alaric (Matt Davis) encourage Stefan to just date Caroline. It seems Damon might be the new captain of the Steroline ship.

In the video, Alaric realizes he got stuck bringing the cranberries and the turkey because Stefan wasn’t invited. Damon jokes that he needs to fix his friendship before Christmas.

“Why don’t you just date her and put us all out of our misery?” Damon asks.

“Because I don’t think about her that way,” Stefan says. “She’s my friend.”

That doesn’t stop Damon and Alaric from pointing out that Caroline has a lot of great traits, from being attractive to having great organizational skills. “There are no drawbacks to this woman, Stefan,” Damon says.

“Eh, she did sleep with you,” Alaric points out.

“Another plus,” Damon says. It’s not like they haven’t dated each other’s exes before.

Stefan changes the subject when they come upon an empty field. “Behold, the Gemini Coven,” Stefan says. “Exactly how it looked four months ago.”
