‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 6 Spoilers: First Look At Midseason Premiere Released [PHOTO]

Get ready for the Season 6 return of “The Vampire Diaries” with your first look at episode 11. The CW released one photo from the midseason premiere, and viewers will not want to miss it.

The photo in question is from “Woke up with a Monster,” the first episode following the heartbreaking December midseason finale. In the image, fans of the series can spy Elena (Nina Dobrev) talking on the phone … a land line to be exact. The brunette vampire is rocking her leather jacket and appears worried as she has a chit-chat with a mysterious caller.

As we previously reported, episode 11 will pick up after Kai (Chris Wood) cast an invisibility spell over Elena. The vamp was just about to reunite with Damon (Ian Somerhalder) under the mistletoe until Kai, a psychotic serial killer witch, pulled a fast one on the Mystic Falls gang. Desperate to consume more magic, Kai kidnapped Elena to use as a bargaining chip … or worse.

Unfortunately for Elena, “Woke up with a Monster” will find Kai uncertain how to “control his newly acquired magic.” He's already unstable, and the extra magic that he gained from a leftover Traveler’s spell could put him over the edge. The good news is that Damon will be doing everything in his power to get his beloved Elena back. The bad news is that “an unexpected visitor” will throw a “wrench into his plans.”

Other plotlines to look forward to in the midseason premiere of “The Vampire Diaries” include a Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Caroline (Candice Accola) road trip, a nosy Enzo (Michael Malarkey) and a pretty determined Jo (Jodi Lyn O’Keefe).
