‘Vampire Diaries’ Season 7 Spoilers: Watch Rayna Confront Damon In Episode 16 Sneak-Peek Video
In a not-so-shocking turn of events, Damon (Ian Somerhalder) is in trouble on “The Vampire Diaries.” When the CW drama returns from hiatus Friday, Damon will find himself facing Rayna (Leslie-Anne Huff), but she isn’t taking her opportunity to kill him. In a sneak-peek video from Season 7, episode 16, Rayna reveals that she isn’t interested in killing the older Salvatore…for now.
The clip shows Damon waking up on the floor. He doesn’t seem to be in good shape, but Rayna isn’t taking advantage. She is patching up her own injuries.
“As much as I’d like to kill you first, my sword is on the move and so is my target,” Rayna says, referring to Stefan (Paul Wesley). “I have to chase them both. My mystical nature calls.”
Rayna says it’s odd that Stefan ran away from Damon’s offer. In the last episode, Damon decided that he wanted to transfer Rayna’s mark from Stefan to himself. “He’s just being a martyr,” Damon reasons. “Probably thinks I can’t handle the scar.”
Damon says the plan is still in effect, though. He’ll find a way to bring his brother to him and complete the transfer spell. “That is downright noble, more than I expected from you, especially considering everything you have to give up,” Rayna says.
It doesn’t seem like the vampire considers the mark much of a burden. “I’ve been in a coffin for the last three years,” Damon says. “Not like I was keeping up with my hobbies.”

There might be a bigger problem with the transfer that Rayna hasn’t explained yet. As previously reported, the synopsis revealed that it isn’t so simple. “Damon offers to have Stefan’s scar magically transferred to him, only to discover that doing so may come with some unexpected consequences,” the synopsis teases. What could be worse than having Rayna hunt him down for the rest of his life?
“The Vampire Diaries” Season 7, episode 16 airs Friday at 9 p.m. EDT on the CW.
