‘The Vampire Diaries’ Season 8 Stars Ian Somerhalder and Paul Wesley Joke Around On Twitter, CW Actor Excited For Final Episodes
“The Vampire Diaries” may be coming to an end but Ian Somerhalder is not going to let co-star Paul Wesley walk away empty handed. The actor, who plays Damon Salvatore on the hit CW series, gifted his on-screen brother with a special portrait to put up in his office.
“Hey @paulwesley I just wanted to leave you a little present in your office brother… So you don’t forget me,” Somerhalder tweeted Tuesday night. Attached to the tweet was a picture of the actor holding a sign that read, “We all are.”
Wesley, who seemed appreciative for the gift, replied to his co-star by simply tweeting “hung.” Somerhalder found humor in his costar’s response prompting him to write a cheeky response.
“Hung? You, me or the picture?” Somerhalder tweeted. Wesley replied by saying he left the picture on the floor.
Lately, Somerhalder has been nostalgic across social media as he prepares to say goodbye to “The Vampire Diaries” after eight seasons of starring on the show. On Tuesday, the actor shared a photo of himself on Instagram directing his last episode on the series.
“4 days until my episode I directed of #vampirediaries airs Hopefully you can check it out... My last #tvd ep as a director,” he wrote.
The day before that, Somerhalder shared a photo of himself in the director role and reflected on the time he has spent on the set, reminiscing about members of the cast and crew. “We’ve all grown together on this set for 8 years, building new skills and realizing new talents/passions in ourselves and in one another. Wow. What a ride it’s been,” he wrote.
“The Vampire Diaries” Season 8 will return Friday at 8 p.m. on The CW.
