‘Walking Dead’ Season 5 Spoilers: Episode 6 Synopsis Released Online; What Will Happen In ‘Consumed’? [PHOTOS & VIDEO]
Is Eugene OK?! “Walking Dead” viewers will have to keep waiting for that answer. Episode 5 of the hit AMC series featured a jaw-dropping ending, but it’s not going to pick up in episode 6. With Rick’s (Andrew Lincoln) group split in three different directions, episode 6 will switch gears to Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Carol (Melissa McBride) … and their quest to get Beth (Emily Kinney) back.
The synopsis for episode 6, “Consumed,” teases that stakes will be “high” when “members of the group must go on a rescue mission in a familiar location.” The brief description is referring to Daryl and Carol, who left Father Gabriel’s (Seth Gilliam) church in order to track a car with a cross on the back windshield that Daryl believes took Beth. As for the “familiar location”? The survivors will be returning to their Season 1 stomping grounds: Atlanta.
“Walking Dead” viewers learned in episode 4 that Beth had been brought to a hospital inside Atlanta. While the whole city was in shambles, a handful of police officers and one doctor had managed to secure a hospital as their shelter. Her new group members claimed that they had “saved” her – but it came at a price. Beth was told that in order to leave she had to work off the debt she owed to her “saviors.”
A failed escape from the hospital left Beth with a pretty serious beatdown. But she wasn’t ready to go down without a fight. Desperate to escape, Beth planned to attack the doctor, Steven Edwards (Erik Jensen), with a pair of scissors. But Beth’s plan changed when officers rolled an unconscious Carol onto the floor.
While “Walking Dead” fans still don’t know how Carol managed to get captured (or if she actually was captured), the promo for episode 6 reveals that viewers will get to see what happened to Carol and Daryl after they began to track the car with the cross in the window. The video shows the duo inside Atlanta … and burning a wrapped-up body.
