Was Kate Middleton And Meghan Markle's Royal Family Outing Staged?
Amid rumors that Britain's Prince William and Prince Harry are feuding, their wives, Kate Middleton and Meghan Markle, respectively, displayed a united front as they attended a charity polo event alongside them on Wednesday. Despite appearances, royal expert Duncan Larcombe suggests things may not be as united as they seem.
During an episode of "Nine News Australia," a segment highlighting Prince Harry and the Duchess of Sussex's baby Archie's first public outing quickly turned into a question of whether or not the royal brothers are still at odds.
As reported by Express, Belinda Russell, host of the Australian talk show, made the obvious observation as photos of the two families at the polo match appeared on the screen, saying, “When you look at those pictures you have to ask: what feud?" To which Larcombe replied, “Isn’t that what we’re supposed to think after today?"
“It was carefully orchestrated," he added. "There are always photographers at these polo matches... they all looked very happy today, so it’s against the backdrop of the rift of course.”
“You’re saying this is a front -- the rift is still going strong as ever,” Tom Steinfort, co-host of the show, tried to clarify.
“I’m not sure I’m saying that," Larcombe said, laughing. "They might not be the best of buddies... you’ve got to take a lot, obviously, with a pinch of salt."
