Watch Haley Reinhart sing “House of the Rising Sun” on American Idol

American Idol contestant Haley Reinhart stunned the judges Wednesday when performing House of the Rising Sun by Animals.

Reinhart has made it to the top 5 of this season of the singing competition. She is known for her raspy, bluesy voice. Some other of her standout performances have been Benny and the Jets by Eric Clapton and Piece of my Heart by Janis Joplin.

Reinhart's start on American Idol was a little shaky as she often was in the bottom three and in fear of elimination from the show. Since the first few weeks, Reinhart has constantly been improving and giving it her all on the stage.

Last night, after receiving a standing ovation from all three judges, Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez, Jackson told Reinhart she was the best performance of the night, while Lopez told her she has been growing by leaps and bounds.

Reinhart's performance even received praise from former American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson. Clarkson tweeted, Um Haley on Idol just killed it! Wow!! You can sing girl! One of my favorite performances ever on Idol! I predict Haley or Lauren [Alaina] to win.

The elimination episode of American Idol this week will air on Thursday at 8 p.m. on Fox.
