Watch As The ‘Sister Wives’ Prepare To Welcome A New Family Member
The Brown family is expanding once again, and the newest member of the group may finally be making their long-awaited appearance on “Sister Wives.”
In a preview clip for the newest episode of the TLC show, Janelle races to North Carolina, where her daughter Maddie lives, because she just so happens to be in labor with her second child. Now, the family’s troubles that have been plaguing them in Flagstaff seem to be left behind, as the focus shifts to what is sure to be a joyous event.
Following the long and complicated at home birth she had with her first child, Axel, Maddie is doing things differently this time around, explaining that she plans to give birth to her daughter at a birthing center since she doesn’t particularly care for hospitals.
“I am not doing a home birth this time,” she says in the clip. “I am giving birth at a birthing center. I don’t like hospitals, I’m just not super comfortable in them. So If I can avoid going to a hospital for a birth that is non-emergent, why not?”
As she meets with the midwife who will be with her during the process, Maddie also explains that she thinks this labor is progressing in a way that is similar to when she gave birth to Axel, and that could mean that she will be in for another long couple of days.
“Prodromal labor is a start and stop, so sometimes there are really heavy contractions that are doing something, and sometimes they’re just there,” she explains. “...It feels like I did when I started labor with Axel, so I'm wondering if I'm having Prodromal labor.”
However, even if she’s in for a long birth, Maddie seems to have high spirits, as she reminds viewers that she can use the long birth to her advantage later in life—and already has plans to when it comes to her son.
“My labor with Axel was an all-time 86 hours, and I’m going to forever use it against him whenever he backtalks me,” she laughs in the clip.
Will Maddie officially welcome daughter Evangalynn in this episode?
