Fans of South Korean band BTS can set their alarms for Wednesday as the global superstars are going live in the Louis Vuitton Men's Fall-Winter 2021 Show in Seoul.
BTS made the announcement Monday, tweeting a short clip of the group wearing dapper suits and luxury streetwear.
"We are excited to be part of the upcoming #LouisVuitton show in Seoul!" the band wrote.
Louis Vuitton also made an announcement about their live stream event on their official youtube channel.
On April 23, the world-famous luxury brand welcomed the pop septet as the latter joined their roster of ambassadors.
"We welcome BTS who has joined Louis Vuitton as ambassadors. We really look forward to collaborating with BTS, starting a new chapter for Louis Vuitton through the fusion of luxury and contemporary culture. We want to reveal our exciting projects as soon as possible," Virgil Abloh, artistic director of Louis Vuitton's menswear collection, said at the time, Soompi reported.
"Becoming global ambassadors of Louis Vuitton is a meaningful moment for BTS, and we look forward to our projects with Virgil Abloh," BTS said about their association with the luxury brand.
The runway show comes ahead of the release of BTS' new English single, "Permission to Dance," on July 9. It was written by singer-songwriter Ed Sheeran.
Prior to their appointment as ambassadors of Louis Vuitton, BTS were occasionally seen wearing collections from different luxury brands such as suits from Kim Jones' Dior Autumn/Winter 2019 collection in their "Love Yourself: Speak Yourself World Tour," reported Tatler.
The group previously wore Abloh's collection at the Grammy's 2021 red carpet. The seven performers featured suits that creatively blended sportswear and modern tailoring techniques.
Their partnership with Louis Vuitton is the first global luxury fashion brand deal for the South Korean superstars. Their other endorsements include Samsung, Fila, Hyundai Motors, Coca-Cola, Inkbox, Helinox, Philippines Telecommunications brand, SMART, Casetify and Indonesian e-commerce site Tokopedia.
The successful Kpop group is not only known for their explosive performances and hit music, but they are also hailed as some of the most fashionable mega pop artists. BTS member Suga was earlier included in Tatler's Asia's Most Stylish 2020 List.
