What Kate Middleton Has That Meghan Markle, Princess Diana Never Had

Kate Middleton has something that both Meghan Markle and Princess Diana never had.

The Duchess of Cambridge and Duchess of Sussex are often pitted against each other. Sometimes they are linked to their late mother-in-law, Princess Diana.

However, among the three royals, Middleton has something that Markle and Princess Diana don’t and it’s her complete, loving and supportive family. The Duchess of Sussex and Princess of Wales were both a product of a broken family.

A clip of Middleton taken a day before her royal wedding to Prince William in 2011 was shared on Instagram. In the short video, the Duchess of Cambridge arrived at the Goring Hotel with her mom Carole and sister Pippa.

The netizens who saw the clip praised Middleton’s family.

“Kate has such a nice family ! She is beautiful and is down to earth but classy!” one fan commented.

“Lovely family!” another royal fan wrote.

For years, Middleton’s family has remained in the background especially after she joined the royal family. Unlike Markle’s family, they never speak anything against the Duchess of Cambridge and rarely agree to make interviews.

According to biographer Andrew Morton, Middleton’s family played a major role on how she won Prince William and the royal family.

“It was her family and her home, where William quietly spent time on weekend Army leave, that were ultimately to prove her secret weapon,” Morton wrote in his 2011 book “William and Catherine.”

“The very normality of like with Kate, as well as the steadiness of her family – he [Prince William] eventually began calling Michael Middleton ‘Dad’ – had a profound appeal for a young man who, when all was said and done, was the product of an unhappy marriage within and often distant, and occasionally chilly, family.”

According to Ashley Pearson on the Amazon documentary “William & Kate: The Journey,” the Queen is very fond of the duchess due to her values and closeness to her family. Just like the Middletons, Prince William’s wife also “never tried to garner extra attention to herself.” She never attempted to be more popular than the Queen or the Prince of Wales.
