What's Next For Bella Thorne After Opening Up About Her Sexuality?
Bella Thorne is making another splash. After her recent revelation, the young actress is making headlines again, but this time for a project.
Thorne is set to produce a young adult vampire movie for Lifetime, according to Deadline. The actress, who starred in the Lifetime film “Perfect High,” has signed on to co-executive produce “Drink, Slay, Love,” which is based on Sarah Beth Durst's novel of the same name.
The story focuses on Pearl, a typical vampire who mysteriously acquired the ability to survive under sunlight. Pearl's family saw it as an opportunity to get new blood just in time for the feast of the Vampire King. Pearl, however, will have a hard time following orders after getting to know her would-be victims personally.
“The Fosters” star Cierra Ramirez has been cast for the lead role. Zach Peladeau, Saah Desjardins, Jasmin Sky Sarin, McKaley Miller and Angelique Rivera will also star.
Thorne's ex-boyfriend Gregg Sulkin will also be part of the show. His casting is curious when one considers that the reason they gave for their split was the conflict in their schedules.
Thorne and Sulkin earlier released a statement obtained by People, saying they have had a difficulty seeing each other, so they decided it would be best for them to no longer commit to their relationship. While Sulkin has yet to address their breakup, Thorne has answered a few fans on Twitter about the end of their relationship. The actress said there were no hard feelings when they split, and things just didn't end up the way they wanted them to.
A week after their statement was released, Thorne confirmed that she identifies as bisexual. Answering a fan question on Twitter whether she likes both men and women, the actress simply answered with a “yes.” Speculations about her sexuality started swirling when a Snapchat video of her kissing her brother's ex-girlfriend Bella Pendergast was released.
Thorne's latest project has already started filming and will be released next year.
