What's Next For Brooklynn Prince? 'Home Before Dark' Trailer Teases Upcoming Role

Brooklynn Prince returns!

The 9-year-old actress will star as Hilde Lysiak in “Home Before Dark.” The official trailer for the Apple TV+ series was released on Friday. Hilde, the star of the show, is a fourth-grader turned journalist who’s digging into the mysterious 1988 disappearance of her father’s best friend.

Prince’s character can be seen visiting police stations and talking with locals as she’s determined to get to the bottom of the cold case.

“I want to see the police report for Richie Fife,” she demands in the trailer. “I’m not going away.”

As Entertainment Weekly reports, Jon M. Chu, the director for “Crazy Rich Asians” and “In the Heights,” is an executive producer for the series, which is based on a true story. Other actors who appear in the show include Joelle Carter, Jibrail Nantambu, Deric McCabe, Louis Herthum, Abby Miller, and Kylie Rogers.

Outside of her role as Lysiak, Prince has expanded her talents to include directing. “The Florida Project” star announced on her Instagram in January 2019 that she was also picking up roles behind the scenes.

“My dream of directing started on The Florida Project,” the actress wrote as the caption.“I loved watching Sean work and was inspired by his patience, vision, and creativity. Since then my dream was to become one of the youngest directors of all time. Today my journey as a director begins. Thank you to my friend and mentor, Sean Baker for believing in me, and to the amazing crew and cast. I hope to make you all very proud. I can't wait for the world to see Colours. ”

She released the short film on her IGTV in December 2019.

“Home Before Dark” will be available to stream on Apple TV+ on April 3.
