When Does ‘When Calls The Heart’ Season 6 Start? Date, Spoilers Revealed

About eight months after the heartbreaking, but touching, Season 5 finale of “When Calls the Heart” in April, fans got an update on what the characters are up to now with the show’s 2018 Christmas special on Tuesday. Now, Hearties can get ready to see more when Season 6 premieres in 2019.

The Hallmark Channel drama starts back up again with episode 1 of the new season on Feb. 24. Fans will see all the usual Hope Valley residents — Elizabeth (Erin Krakow), Abigail (Lori Loughlin), Henry (Martin Cummins) and more — and also a few new faces.

It was announced in July that Kevin McGarry and Chris McNally have joined the “When Calls the Heart” cast, with McGarry playing a new Mountie named Nathan Grant and McNally starring as saloon owner Lucas Bouchard. Rob Estes will also be in the new season, as mysterious artist Theo Richardson. Fans don’t know him yet, but apparently Abigail does.

“When Calls the Heart: The Greatest Christmas Blessing” also introduced Hearties to another new character: Elizabeth’s newborn baby, Jack. He’s named after her late husband, Mountie Jack Thornton (Daniel Lissing), who died at the end of Season 5. What’s next for her, her baby and the rest of the town when Season 6 premieres in February? Not only does the new trailer give a glimpse of what’s to come, but a synopsis from iTunes does as well.

“Single mother Elizabeth leans on her friends for support as she balances motherhood with work,” according to iTunes’ description of the new season. “Romantic opportunities arise as Faith [Andrea Brooks] and Carson [Paul Greene] assess their feelings, Jesse [Aren Buchholz] and Clara [Eva Bourne] take steps in securing their bond, and Abigail reconnects with a mysterious artist from her past. Lee [Kavan Smith] and Rosemary [Pascale Hutton] deal with an emotional issue that challenges their relationship.”

The description continues: “As for the rest of the town, Bill [Jack Wagner] considers an opportunity that cements his place as Hope Valley’s ultimate authority, Henry Gowen reclaims his position among Hope Valley’s society, and handsome new Mountie Nathan Grant comes to town. The saloon gets a makeover when Lucas Bouchard, a charming gambler with secrets arrives on the scene. Finally, Elizabeth will continue to teach the children of Hope Valley – and although there are potential suitors interested in her, being the best mom she can be is her only focus.”
