When Will Kate Middleton Leave Lindo Wing? New Reports On First Look At Royal Baby Girl
Royal baby fans are ecstatic that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge welcomed a healthy baby girl, but now all eyes are on the door to Lindo Wing. Kate Middleton gave birth at St. Mary’s Hospital in Paddington, England, Saturday at 8:34 a.m. local time, and now the Great Kate Wait is on to see when the parents will show off their daughter.
Reports are surfacing that Kate Middleton’s hairdresser, Amanda Cook Tucker, arrived at Lindo Wing earlier Saturday. This would indicate that the Duchess and Prince William will be revealing their newborn daughter to royal supporters soon. After the birth of Prince George in 2013, however, the royal baby didn’t leave the hospital until the following day. On July 23, 2013, the arrivals of Tucker and her assistant were the first clues the new parents would be revealing their first son to the world. The pair arrived at Lindo Wing with a suitcase and baby car seat.
While it’s possible the new royal baby will not leave the hospital for another day, there is speculation Kate Middleton and Prince William will show off their daughter to fans and the media in the next few hours. According to Victoria Murphy of the Mirror in the U.K., it’s not uncommon for parents welcoming their second child to leave the same day. She also noted the long wait for the royal baby, stating that the family might want to “get back to Kensington Palace and move forward.”
Alex Rees, the pop culture editor at Cosmopolitan, tweeted there are rumblings that Prince William and Kate Middleton might emerge soon. However, he also acknowledged it could just be “whisperings” from the crowd:
