Where Is The ‘Twilight’ Cast Now? Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart 2019 Update
Saturday, Oct. 5 marks the 14-year anniversary of Stephenie Meyer’s 2005 release of “Twilight”. While the film starring actors Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson didn’t premiere until 2008, fans of the vampire book series are likely still interested in knowing what the former on-screen couple is up to today. Find out what Rob and Kristen, the book series’ on-screen Edward Cullen and Bella Swan, are doing in 2019.
Kristen Stewart
The former “Twilight” star has two big films due to release before the year’s end. First up is the action film “Charlie’s Angels,” a reboot of the 2000 comedies and 1970s TV series, which releases in theaters on Nov. 15. The following month, Stewart stars in the biographical drama “Seberg” where she plays late actress Jean Seberg.
In January 2020, Stewart’s fans can see her on the big screen again, this time in “Underwater.” Stewart plays a member of an aquatic research team living several miles underwater in the film. When the laboratory is struck by an earthquake, the team also discover they have more than a natural disaster to fear.
Stewart is also due to star in the romantic comedy “Happiest Season.” Variety reports the romantic comedy will focus on one woman's plan to propose to her girlfriend at her family's annual holiday party. Stewart stars alongside Mackenzie Davis of “Terminator: Dark Fate” fame in the November 2020 release.
Robert Pattinson
Like his former co-star, Pattinson has been busy. His film “Waiting for the Barbarians” with Johnny Depp premiered at the Venice Film Festival last month, and next up for the British native is the horror drama “The Lighthouse” with Willem Dafoe. The Robert Eggers-led movie releases in theaters on Oct. 18 and currently holds a 94 percent fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
In November, Pattinson will then head to Netflix for “The King.” The actor plays The Dauphin of France opposite Timothée Chalamet in the streaming release.
Next year will also be a big one for Pattinson. Netflix’s “The Devil All the Time” will show him as Preston Teagardin in the film adaptation of Donald Ray Pollock’s 2011 novel of the same name. Pattinson’s frequent collaborator Mia Wasikowska (“Maps to the Stars”, “Damsel”) also stars in the film, which is currently scheduled for a 2020 release.
Elsewhere, Pattinson will take on a leading role in Christopher Nolan’s secretive project “Tenet.” As reported by Indiewire, Warner Bros. has not released any plot details ahead of the movie’s July 2020 release and is keeping the script under “lock and key,” though Pattinson is rumored to be playing a “villain type” in the project.
Of course, Pattinson’s newest and biggest role is that of “The Batman”. The actor will be taking the lead in Matt Reeves’s cinematic rendition of the Caped Crusader Bruce Wayne’s journey. Pattinson’s Batman will hit theaters in summer 2021.
