Where To Watch Season 1 Of ‘Supergirl’ Before The Season 2 Premiere
Your favorite hero will be flying to a small screen near you this summer when every episode of the freshman season of “Supergirl” airs on the CW.
That’s right, fans of the action drama, which previously aired on CBS, can catch up with Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) as she cleans up crime in National City one last time before the show airs its Season 2 premiere. According to TVLine, the CW, the show’s new network, will air two “Supergirl” episodes every Monday starting Aug. 1. The weekly marathon will kick off with the show’s pilot episode, which originally aired in October 2015.
Every installment of the show’s 20 episodic season will be aired before the sophomore season make its debut on Monday, Oct. 18, at 8 p.m. EDT on the CW. This gives fans of the adventure series plenty of time to catch up before Season 2 swoops down from the sky and into our TV sets this fall.
The upcoming season will feature an exciting new character: Kara’s cousin Clark Kent.
“Greg [Berlanti], Ali [Adler] and I are beyond thrilled to welcome Clark Kent and his slightly-more-famous alter ego to the world of ‘Supergirl,’” the show’s executive producer, Andrew Kreisberg, told Entertainment Weekly. “Superman will be appearing in the first two episodes of the new season [and] we cannot wait to see who next dons the red cape!”
So who will play the iconic role of Superman? Well, Deadline revealed in June that “Teen Wolf” star Tyler Hoechlin will portray the Man of Steel in the forthcoming installment.
“Greg [Berlanti] and I have wanted to work with Tyler for ages, so this worked out perfectly because Tyler is Superman,” Kreisberg told the outlet. “We are so thrilled and humbled to add another amazing actor to the legacy of this iconic character.”
