It’s been five years since “One Tree Hill” ended and fans aren’t the only ones clamoring for a return visit.

The creator of the hit WB/CW series himself, Mark Schwahn, knows that there really is only one Tree Hill, and that no matter what other projects he works on, it’ll always have a place in his heart. That’s why he revealed in an interview with IANS recently that he would want to do a reunion movie.

“If the cast is willing to, I will absolutely do it [make a ‘One Tree Hill’ movie],” Schwahn told the IANS reporter. “I love that cast and the characters. I don't know if we will all be at the same place and same time, but I wouldn't be the one saying no.”

While Schwahn doesn’t have Twitter himself to share the article, Joe Davola, an exectuive producer of the series and now co-founder of AwesomenessTV, tweeted out the story, but with no caption to give his thoughts.

Fans immediately replied back to him about how much they wanted this reunion movie to happen, as well as who they’d like to see return: everyone.

One fan tweeted, “ I'd only watch if EVERYONE RETURNS. Leyton, Naley, Brulian, ” to which actress Barbara Alyn Woods, who played Deb Lee, jumped in and tweeted to add her character into the mix.

But Woods wasn’t the only cast member to express their interest in returning to Tree Hill for a reunion movie.

Tyler Hilton, who played Chris Keller, had quite a few emoji emotions, but the ones that matter the most were the thumbs up he gave.

It didn’t take long for Jana Kramer, who played Alex Dupré, to piggy-back onto Hilton’s tweet with one of her own, saying, “I like the sounds of this too!”

As if having three members of the illustrious “One Tree Hill” cast on board wasn’t enough, Kate Voegele joined in with a reply to Kramer’s tweet, sharing her one condition for reviving her character, Mia Catalano.

It seems like Kramer is totally okay with Voegele’s condition of getting to tackle each other on the football field again, like they did in the ninth episode of season 8. Oh, what an exciting Thanksgiving episode that was. But if they want it to happen again, looks like they should probably talk to the writer of the episode, Nikki Schiefelbein , as well as the director, “One Tree Hill’s” very own Haley, AKA Bethany Joy Lenz.

With that condition a possibility, Voegele also has another request for the film. She jokes that she wants Nick Lachey, who famously played a version of himself in season 6, to “stay out of it.” Luckily for fans, she quickly adds that it was a joke and that she’d actually really like for him to be in it. Looks like the idea of a “One Tree Hill” movie is really getting the creative juices flowing, with any guest star seeming like fair game.

The only thing left to do is get the original five - Chad Michael Murray, James Lafferty, Sophia Bush, Hilarie Burton, and Bethany Joy Lenz - on board, send out invites to the rest of the cast, have Gavin Degraw record a special, new version of “I Don’t Want To Be” for the theme song, and get the movie made.

The cast will have plenty of time to convince each other to do a reunion movie, as they reunite in real life at the Eyecon “One Tree Hill” convention in Wilmington, NC in October. Many of the series’ stars will be attending the event, giving fans an up-close and personal “OTH” experience.

Just think, in a couple months, we could have a few more cast members ready for a reunion film. Is it too soon to pack our bags and book our flights for Tree Hill?
