Who Is Yael Cohen? Meet Scooter Braun's Wife Amid Taylor Swift Backlash
As Taylor Swift called out Scooter Braun for “incessant, manipulative bullying” as he scooped up her music catalog through the acquisition of Big Machine Records – her former label – in an open letter on Tumblr, his wife, Yael Cohen has come to his defense.
Cohen fired back at Swift, saying “I have never been one for a public airing of laundry, but when you attack my husband… here we go. Let’s start with @taylorswift, whoa. Then let’s get the facts straight. You were given the opportunity to own your masters, you passed. Interesting that the man you’re so ‘grossed out’ by believed in you more than you believe in yourself.”
In her lengthy post to Swift on Instagram, Cohen continued, “And girl, who are you to talk about bullying? The world has watched you collect and drop friends like wilted flowers. My husband is anything but a bully, he’s spent his life standing up for people and causes he believes in. Beyond that, it’s easy to see that the point of putting this out was to get people to bully him. You are supposed to be a role model, but continue to model bullying.”
The heated exchange proves that Cohen isn’t one to step back and let one say what they want about her husband, even if it is against mega-star, Swift. Cohen certainly has the chops to fight back, but who exactly is she? Here’s everything we know about Cohen and her relationship with Braun.
