Who’s Coming And Going On ‘General Hospital’? Wes Ramsey’s Time As Peter Ends
“General Hospital” fans have been watching Peter August, formerly known as Henrik Faison, ruining the lives of Port Charles residents since 2017, but it appears his reign of terror has come to an end.
Peter, who was played by actor Wes Ramsey, has reportedly been permanently killed off of “General Hospital.” The actor’s last episode was on June 3, when his character got into a scuffle with Finn (Michael Easton) and was pushed down the stairs.
The last viewers saw of Peter, he was at the bottom of the stairwell with blood pooling from his head. After making his debut on the ABC soap opera in 2017, Ramsey went on to appear in more than 330 episodes.
Peter was the son of the deranged villain Cesar Faison (Anders Hove) and Anna Devane’s (Finola Hughes) twin Alex. During Peter’s time in Port Charles, it was revealed that he was responsible for Jason Morgan’s (Steve Burton) five-year disappearance.
He also later killed Drew Cain (Billy Miller) and Franco Baldwin (Roger Howarth). However, the death of Franco has fans questioning if this will truly be the last they see of Ramsey in the “GH” universe.
Franco was killed off of the soap opera in March, but Howarth returned to the soap opera in the May 27 episode as Austin, a doctor who happened to be on a hike when he found Maxie (Kirsten Storms) in labor on the side of the road.
While Howarth is happy to be back on the show, he previously admitted that it isn’t easy playing a new character. “Even five or six weeks in [to taping episodes as Austin], there are still things that I don’t know and still things that I’m trying to figure out,” he explained.
“But what I do know for certain is that I like him. I hope the audience enjoys him because there is some great story coming and it’s exciting to me.”
Unlike previous actors who have left the show and shared heartfelt messages on social media about their departure from “General Hospital,” Ramsey has not shared much about his exit. For now, “GH” fans can be certain that Peter is no longer alive.
“General Hospital” airs weekdays at 3 p.m. EDT on ABC.
