Why ‘Blindspot’ Season 2, Episode 8 Is Not Airing Tonight On NBC
“Blindspot” Season 2, episode 8 was scheduled to air on Wednesday, Nov. 3. However, the installment was temporarily benched by NBC.
According to Cartermatt, “Do Not Slack, the Featherweight Wins” was canceled to accommodate the World Series. Initially, the network didn’t think that the World Series would span seven games. But it did, and this caused a schedule conflict with the new episode of “Blindspot” Season 2. Despite this week’s schedule change, “Blindspot” Season 2 will continue to air the rest of the episodes over the next several weeks. This week’s cancelation could mean that the show will have a shorter hiatus in the coming weeks. After all, the hit series also premiered much earlier than the other shows.
Series creator and executive producer Martin Gero also made an announcement via his Twitter account on Wednesday night. He confirmed that Season 2, episode 8 will air a week later. The exec added that “Do Not Slack, the Featherweight Wins” is an “awesome episode” that viewers need to watch out for.
Meanwhile, “Blindspot” Season 2, episode 8 will continue to follow the lives of Jane Doe (Jaimie Alexander), Kurt Weller (Sullivan Stapleton) and the other members of the FBI team. Jane and Kurt go missing at the start of the episode, but the former will be able to reunite with her teammates. Unfortunately for Kurt, he will be captured by an unknown male character who intends to kill him.
Before anything serious could happen to Kurt, Jane will ask Nas Kamal (Archie Panjabi) to include them in the latter’s plans to save Kurt. Nas previously thought that Jane, Patterson (Ashley Johnson), Reade (Rob Brown) and Zapata (Audrey Esparza) shouldn’t be involved with the rescue, but Jane convinces her by saying that they are a family and that they should always look out for each other.
“Blindspot” Season 2, episode 8 will air on NBC on Nov. 9 at 8 p.m. ET.
