Why Didn’t Taylor Swift Throw A 4th Of July Party At Her Rhode Island Estate This Year?

Taylor Swift disappointed fans and paparazzi on the Fourth of July when she did not throw her annual Independence Day bash.

The “Shake It Off” singer has hosted massive 4th of July parties at her multi-million estate in Rhode Island for years, but it looks like she has decided to skip the 2017 festivities. To the surprise of media and fans alike, there was no sign of Swift and friends such as Gigi Hadid, Karlie Kloss and Cara Delevingne at her home on Tuesday, E! News reported.

The giant red, white and blue inflatable slide that was seen last year on her Fourth of July party is still by the pool, but aside from this, there was reportedly no sign of any Independence Day celebration. There were no American flag cakes, no starlets in red, no white and blue swimsuits and most importantly, no Swift at her Rhode Island estate.

Last year, Swift’s Rhode Island property was filled with Independence Day decorations and activities. Her celeb pals Hadid, Kloss, Delevingne, Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds were around to celebrate Fourth of July together. Also in attendance was the “Blank Space” singer’s then-boyfriend Tom Hiddleston, Daily Mail reported.

While there was no sign of Swift on the Fourth of July, her parents Andrea and Scott were spotted in town. Her dad even enjoyed a fishing trip with some friends. A few friends and family members gathered together at Swift’s $17.75 million oceanfront estate and threw a low-key party.

Swift has been keeping a low profile this year. In fact, she’s been out of the spotlight for months now, so the absence of her annual Independence Day bash was not really surprising to some.

Last March, an obsessed fan reportedly stalked the “I Don’t Wanna Live Forever” songstress. Mohammed Jaffar, 29, was accused of breaking into Swift’s penthouse in New York. He allegedly rang her doorbell for an hour straight, posted a series of tweets online about the singer and bombarded her management with 59 calls demanding to meet Swift, The Sun reported. There are speculations that this incident could be one of the reasons why Swift has been inactive on social media.

In other news, Swift has reportedly started dating British actor Joe Alwyn. According to a source, the two have decided to keep their romance away from the press and the public eye. “She has been working on new music and spending quiet time with her family and friends. She met Joe last year but they haven’t started dating till just recently,” one source told E! News.

Swift reportedly doesn’t want the media scrutiny to ruin her current relationship the way it did her last. She has apparently been working hard with her security team to keep everything private.
