Hopefully, NBC viewers are feeling the Christmas spirit because a holiday special will delay the premiere of “Chicago PD” Season 6, episode 9.

The network hasn’t aired a new episode of the cop drama in two weeks and it appears fans will have to wait an additional 7 days before they are reunited with Hank Voight’s (Jason Beghe) intelligence unit.

When “Chicago PD” Season 6, episode 9 returns next week, Antonio (Jon Seda) will put his career on the line after he learns about a situation that can’t be handled by the police.

“In an attempt to dig himself out of a hole and save someone close to him, Antonio crosses a line that puts the entire team at risk,” the “Descent” synopsis teases.

Viewers, who tune into NBC tonight during the “Chicago PD” time slot will be able to watch “A Legendary Christmas with John and Chrissy.”

The holiday special will follow Legend and Teigen as they celebrate the holidays with friends and family. The Grammy Award-winning artist is also expected to perform several songs from his 2018 holiday album.

“Chicago PD” Season 6, episode 9 is scheduled to air Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 10 p.m. EST on NBC.
