Why Isn’t ‘Happy Together’ On Tonight? CBS Delays Season 1, Episode 9
“Happy Together” fans might not be too happy about this news: there will be no new episode of the CBS comedy airing tonight.
The series will return with Season 1, episode 9, titled “The Power of Yes…Men,” on Dec. 3 at its usual time of 8:30 p.m. EST.
“When Cooper [Felix Mallard] helps Jake [Damon Wayans, Jr.] prepare for a big work presentation, they both realize that everyone always agrees with Cooper only because he is famous,” the synopsis shares of the next new episode. “Jake asks Claire [Amber Stevens West] for the same kind of encouragement, while Cooper decides to seek out more honest opinions of his work.”
Sharon Osbourne, Eve, Sara Gilbert and Sheryl Underwood guest star in the episode, which was written by Amina Munir and directed by Andy Ackerman, when Cooper goes on “The Talk.”
Instead of a new “Happy Together” tonight, a repeat episode of fellow freshman comedy, “The Neighborhood,” will air in its place at 8:30 p.m. EST. That’s not the only change CBS is making to its schedule Monday.
Though it’ll have an old episode on tonight, “The Neighborhood” won’t be airing a new episode during its usual time slot of 8 p.m. EST. A rebroadcasting of Season 11, episode 10 of “The Big Bang Theory” will air during that time.
The Max Greenfield and Cedric the Entertainer comedy returns on Dec. 3 with “Welcome to the Dinner Guest,” which is episode 9 of its first season.
“When Calvin [Cedric the Entertainer] and Tina [Tichina Arnold] learn Marty [Marcel Spears] has a new girlfriend, Chloe (Alexandra Chando), they insist he invite her over for dinner, with surprising results,” the synopsis teases.
The episode was written by Tracey Ashley and directed by Stan Lathan.
Season 1, episode 9 of both “The Neighborhood” and “Happy Together” airs on Dec. 3, beginning at 8 p.m. EST.
