Why Meghan Markle Is Amy Schumer’s Nemesis

Amy Schumer, who announced her pregnancy in October, filmed a new edition of InStyle’s video series, “Woman With Desk & Chair,” called “How to Not Give a [Expletive] What Anybody Thinks,” where she spoke about another pregnant celebrity: Meghan Markle.

While giving her second tip — “everyone’s a narcissist” — about how to not care what other people think of you, Schumer used herself and Markle as an example.

“Everyone is just so narcissistic and obsessed with themselves that they don’t even really have time to worry about you,” she said in the InStyle video. “I’m the same way. So, say someone like, I don’t know, my nemesis, Meghan Markle — why is she my nemesis? Because she’s pregnant at the same time as me and I’m not letting her get away with that.”

Schumer continued: “So, maybe I’m feeling competitive and, ‘Oh, Meghan looks better than me and she has a tiny, small bump, and she’s wearing high heels, and I already look 10-months pregnant, and I’ve been wearing flats for the last four years.’ [Then] I remember, no one really cares about me, because they really only care about themselves.”

This isn’t the first time Schumer has brought up the Duchess of Sussex in the context of their respective pregnancies.

The “I Feel Pretty” star actually used an image of Markle and Prince Harry — with her and her husband Chris Fischer’s face photoshopped on their bodies — to make her own baby announcement, only a week after the “Suits” alum had made her very own.

While Markle is due in the spring of 2019, Schumer has not yet revealed when her baby’s due date is.
