Why Is Prince Harry More Loved Than Prince William? Netizens Speak Up
Prince Harry is more loved than Prince William for various reasons, according to some netizens.
The Duke of Sussex and the Duke of Cambridge are both popular and well-received by the public. However, one netizen felt that Prince Harry is more loved than his big brother and took to Quora for some answers.
According to Tim Bushell, a UK resident, Prince Harry is more loved because the British people love a “comeback tale.” He pointed out that the underdog like the “spare” Prince Harry who makes mistakes and fixes it is easier to receive support and sympathy.
Meanwhile, Prince William lacks backstory. He hasn’t improved because he has a good character from the start which is not so interesting. On the other hand, Prince Harry has “room for improvement.”
Prince Harry came through and battled the odds. He underwent a transformation while Prince William was just Prince William from the start.
Sallie Smythe, a royalist and monarchist, said she believes that there were two reasons for this. First, Prince Harry was just 12 when Princess Diana passed away while Prince William was already 15. Prince Harry looked like a little boy while his big brother looked like a young man.
Second, Prince William is heir to the throne while Prince Harry is the “spare” and tend to have fewer constraints.
Prince William is sensitive, kind and genuine and Prince Harry is all that and more because he can also be cheeky and naughty. Prince Harry was deemed to be the “royal bad boy” who turned himself around and became a man that many are very proud of today.
Meanwhile, Deanna Eppers, who favor the monarchy doesn’t agree that Prince Harry is more loved than the second-in-line to the throne. However, she finds the Duke of Sussex easier to relate to than Prince William.
“Prince Harry is easier to relate to; he is an extrovert, his emotions are not hidden, and the public felt very sad for him to lose his mother while he was twelve. Harry puts himself out there, and people respond to that,” she wrote.
“Prince William is more of an introvert and since he will be king one day, he is more reserved and people don’t know what he’s feeling all the time.”
