While appearing on Dax Shepard’s “Armchair Expert” podcast, Sophia Bush made it clear that her marriage with “One Tree Hill” co-star Chad Michael Murray was off limits.

Bush and Murray, who married in 2005, separated five months into their union. Since then, the stars have been vague about the reasons why the split. During her latest interview, the former “Chicago PD” star appeared to go on a rant about why she refuses to talk about her divorce.

“The reason that I don’t talk about it A) is because everyone’s been 21 and stupid, but if you’re in our job, for some reason, people want to talk to you about like, when you’re fully-fledged adults who’ve done really amazing s— with your lives, they wanna talk to you about the dumb thing you did in college basically,” Bush told Shepard.

The 36-year-old actress revealed she was “a really naive kid” when she was 21 years old and believes the idea of having “one of the cool people” like her was one of the reasons she married Murray.

However, once the relationship was over, the two continued to work together. Reflecting on that time, Bush accused “One Tree Hill” producers of exploiting her and Murray’s split as well as the personal lives of fellow cast members.

“It was opportunistic and ugly and when you run a show, you’re like a parent. You’re supposed to protect your flock and it was the opposite of that. And I imagine that was hard for him as well. It was a very ugly situation on their part. I think they kind of lived for the drama,” she explained.

Bush and Murray’s divorce was finalized in 2006, however, the actor didn’t leave the show until 2009. Although he returned for the final season in 2012, Bush continued on as a main character until the series finale.
