Will Josh Duggar Appear On ‘Jill And Jessa: Counting On’? His Post-Rehab Plans Revealed
The Duggars are coming back to TV and that has many “19 Kids and Counting” fans questioning if disgraced reality star Josh Duggar will also be making a comeback. Following his exit from rehab on Thursday, we finally have our answer.
Despite treating his pornography addiction, Josh, 28, will not star on TLC’s spinoff “Jill & Jessa: Counting On,” People reports. Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald's series, which will feature cameos from his wife Anna Duggar, returns to the network with its first season on March 15. The first three episodes of the program premiered last year.
Ahead of the series return, Anna has discussed her troubled marriage with Josh in the trailer. “I don’t know what I’m stepping into,” Anna, 27, says. “I don’t know how to handle each situation. It's not anything I ever would have thought I would walk through.”
With Josh not planning to star on the show, the Duggars have shared his post-rehab plans on their family blog. “Josh has now returned to Arkansas where he will continue professional counseling and focus on rebuilding relationships with his family," the statement reads. “We are forever grateful for the love and prayers offered by so many and hope you will continue to pray in the days ahead."
While Josh has a tough road ahead, People reports his and Anna’s four children Mackynzie, 6; Marcus, 4; Michael, 2; and Meredith, 5 months; are pleased to have their dad back in their lives. “If nothing else, this is a happy time for their kids,” an insider told the magazine.
Josh entered rehab in August 2015 after his name was linked to the affair website Ashley Madison. In a statement, Josh admitted to being unfaithful and said he was "ashamed" by his actions. Josh was believed to be receiving treatment at Reformers Unanimous, a Christian treatment center in Rockford, Illinois.
"Jill & Jessa: Counting On" returns to TLC Tuesday, March 15, at 9 p.m. EDT on TLC.
